On February 17th, a signing and awarding ceremony for the preventive medicine practical teaching base was held between Ningbo University Health Science Center and the Changshan County Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Quzhou City. Participants included Xu Guozhang, deputy director of the Health Science Center and dean of the School of Public Health, Zhan Bingdong, director of the Quzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Quzhou Health Inspection Institute), Wang Jingda, deputy county mayor of Changshan County People's Government, Yao Xiaoyi, director of the Changshan County Health Bureau, and Jiang Dong, deputy director of the Changshan County Health Bureau and director of the County CDC.

Both parties signed an agreement on closely cooperating in the joint cultivation of high-quality talents in preventive medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels, enhancing disease prevention and control capabilities, and conducting scientific research. Together, they aim to provide a robust guarantee for public health and socio-economic development.

Following the ceremony, Xu Guozhang was invited to deliver an academic report titled "The History and Prospects of Eliminating Major Infectious Diseases," providing new ideas and directions for disease prevention and control efforts.
